She has been a combatant until the end of the war. She was arrested by a special police team on May 27, 2009 at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Vavuniya.The former female political wing leader of the terrorist group Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) Subramaniam Sivagamy alias Thamilini is now following a training course in bridal dressing, office of Sri Lanka Commissioner General of Rehabilitation said. under a court order the former LTTE leader was transferred to Poonthottam Open-Air Rehabilitation Center in Vavuniya last week to undergo rehabilitation from Monday (July 01).She is to follow a one year rehabilitation course there before she is released to the society.During her rehabilitation she will receive vocational training, educational and sports opportunities. She is following several other training modules also, the Rehabilitation Commissioner General Office said.
