Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) leader V. Anandasangaree has been included in the list of candidates of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) to contest the provincial council elections in the north.
According to reports from the north, Anandasangaree will contest the elections from the Killinochchi district.
Anandasangaree was once a strong critic of the LTTE, even at the time when the TNA was accused of being the political voice of the LTTE.
Meanwhile Tamil media reports from the north also said that PLOTE leader Dharmalingham Sidharthan will contest the polls under the TNA ticket in Jaffna.
The TNA had already announced that former Supreme Court Judge C.V. Wigneswaran will be the Chief Ministerial candidate of the TNA for the polls in the north.
Meanwhile reports from Jaffna also said that the wife of former LTTE Trincomalee political head Elilan may contest the northern provincial council elections under the TNA ticket.
