The hearing of the bail applications, made by the seven accused, including the former Navy Spokesman Commodore D.K.P. Dassanayake, who are currently in remand custody in connection with the abduction and disappearance of 11 children from Kotahena, was postponed until 19 December by Colombo High Court Judge A.A.R. Heintuduwa yesterday (07).
The presiding Judge postponed the case as the permanent Judge was absent.
The accused were arrested and remanded following investigations conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department.
The accused include Sumith Ranasinghe, Uyada Kumara, Nalin Prasanna Wickremesuriya, Ihalagedera Dharmadasa of the Navy’s intelligence division, ex-Navy Media Spokesman D.K.P. Dassanayake and Pathirage Dassanayake.
