Minister of Tourism Prasanna Ranatunga says action will be taken against Former President Maithripala Sirisena, if he is found to be responsible for the Easter Sunday attacks following investigations.
Speaking to media after a function in Kandy in view of World Tourism Day, the Minister said legal action will be taken against all individuals responsible for the Easter Sunday bombings, despite their rank and distinction.
The Minister stressed politics, whether it be the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna or the Sri Lanka Freedom party, is not related to the Commission determining persons responsible.
Separately he added President Gotabaya Rajapaksa was elected by the people who realised the motives of certain civil organizations.
Minister Ranatunga claimed the audit process of government department’s is done according to strict protocol, prior to the introduction of an Audit Commission.
He questioned why the Audit Commission was unable to prevent the controversial Central Bank bond issuance.
