Pakistan’s New Defence Attache Greets Commander

The newly-appointed Defence Attaché to the High Commission of Pakistan in Colombo, Colonel Mohammed R Irshad Khan, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnyake at his office, Army Headquarters Tuesday (26) afternoon.

The meeting discussed possibilities for Regiment to Regiment exchange programmes between Sri Lanka Army and Pakistan Army as new initiatives for broader understanding among different corresponding Regiments in the Pakistan Army.

The envoy assured the Commander of his fullest support for implementation of the proposed programme in consultation with his superiors in Pakistan in the future.

The meeting came to an end with the cordial exchange of mementos.
