Dialog chief is sorry over interruption

Dialog Axiata chief Dr Hans Wijayasuriya has apologized for the inconvenience caused as a result of the interruption to the Dialog TV broadcast when the “Satana” program was aired on Sirasa TV last Saturday.

In response to a concern raised by lawyer Saliya Pieris, the Dialog Axiata chief said that customers are also at liberty to raise any issues which remain unresolved by the service provider to the Media Ministry or Telecom Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL).

He said that the interruption to the Dialog TV broadcast was as a result of a “transmission issue” adding however that the “Satana” program was broadcast the next morning during the repeat on Sirasa TV.

All local channels suddenly went off air on Dialog TV and PEO TV last Saturday night when the “Satana” program began.

The program had as its guests common opposition Presidential candidate Maithripala Sirisena as well as parliamentarians Rajitha Senaratne, Anura Kumara Dissanayake and the venerable Athureliya Rathana.
