Sri Lanka reports two more deaths from COVID-19 Monday raising toll to 215

Sri Lanka confirmed two deaths on Monday due to COVID-19 raising the death toll from the viral disease to 215, according to health authorities.

The Director General of Health Services confirmed following two deaths caused by COVID-19 virus infection and accordingly the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 215 by now.

01. The deceased is a 71 year old male from Ratnapura area. He has died on 02 January 2021 at Ratnapura Teaching Hospital. The cause of death is mentioned as respiratory infection due to COVID-19 and lung infection.

02. The deceased is an 86 year old male from Ratnapura area. He has died at home on 01.01.2021. The cause of death is COVID-19 pneumonia and epilepsy.
