Former President of the Court of Appeal Justice Sundaram Sriskandarajah passed away a short while ago due to a sudden illeness, sources said.

Justice Sriskandarajah was appointed as the President of the Court of Appeal in June 2011.

He had served over seven years as a Judge of the Court of Appeal of Sri Lanka before he was appointed as the President of the Court of Appeal.

He was educated in Manipay Hindu College and Colombo Hindu College. He enrolled as an Attorney – at- Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 1979.
