Opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has been given 48 hours to finalise a candidate for the Presidential election.The deadline was given at a special meeting between opposition leaders held at the Kotte Naga Viharaya, last night (16). Accordingly, the signing of the agreement to field a common candidate too, has been postponed by two days, spokesman for the National Movement for a Just Society  – Dr. Nirmal  Ranjith Dewasiri said.Yesterday’s meeting was held in the view of the decision to field a common candidate being delayed.However, ‘Sri Lanka Mirror’ learns that UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe is to leave tomorrow (18) on a two-day overseas trip.
