TELO leader Adaikalanathan MP invited all Tamil Political Party Leaders to join hands to voice Tamil people’s issues unanimously

TELO leader Adaikalanathan MP invited all Tamil Political Party Leaders to join hands to voice Tamil people’s issues unanimously. He sent out a letter today to the leaders of the Tamil National Parties.

The Tamil people are facing most serious problems after the recent political changes that have taken place since the last presidential and general elections.

The government is expropriating land in our homeland for various reasons. Archaeology, development, the Mahavali project, and environmental protection are just a few of the many justifications but are fundamentally targeted towards systematic colonization. Similarly, we see the situation where the government is slowly taking over the powers of the provincial council and local government. We also have an obligation to stop these and to protect the powers that be.

At a time when the superpowers are putting pressure on the Sri Lankan government for a number of issues that are in our favor in the international arena, we can create a favourable internal political environment by dealing with political issues at home in a unanimous position.

Therefore, We warmly invite all of you for the initial virtual online discussion on how we, the Tamil National Parties, which are concerned about the Tamil people, can act in unison, considering the need of the hour.

The call is aimed at arriving at a unison beyond electoral motives, party interests and personal animosities.

Looking forward to your consent to attend this meeting day after tomorrow, the next Sunday 27-06-2021 at 5.00 p.m.

Selvam Adaikalanathan MP
Leader – Tamil Eelam Liberation Organization
