All former Members of Parliament have now vacated their houses at the Madiwela Housing Complex, according to Parliament Secretary-General Kushani Rohanadeera.
Forty newly elected MPs have been issued residences, while twenty re-elected MPs have been reallocated their previous houses.
Following the recent regime change, the new government instructed former MPs to vacate the official residences. Earlier reports suggested that some had delayed compliance, with a few leaving the country.
The allocation of housing to new MPs began on December 3, 2024.
