The Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka, Gopal Baglay, who practices diplomacy as a fine art, will be leaving Colombo soon for his next posting in Canberra after a very successful stint in which he won laurels as the man who coordinated with the Sri Lankan and Indian governments to deliver life saving vaccines during the pandemic and then vital assistance to the tune of US$ 4.5 billion to help Sri Lanka overcome an unprecedented economic crisis.
