Opposition and UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has been refused permission to see Muslim politicial Azath salley in hospital.

The UNP media unit said that Wickremesinghe had sought permission to visit Salley, during the party leader’s meeting in parliament.

However the government had refused to allow the UNP leader to visit Salley who is in police custody while receiving treatment in hospital.

The UNP leader has however said that he will visit Salley even by force if he has to.
