Sri Lanka confirms four more COVID-19 deaths Friday raising total to 208

Sri Lanka confirmed four deaths on Friday due to COVID-19 raising the death toll from the viral disease to 208, according to health authorities.

The Director General of Health Services confirmed following four deaths caused by COVID-19 virus infection and accordingly the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 208 by now.

01. The deceased is a 67 year old male from Alayadivembu. He was transferred from Welikanda Base Hospital to IDH hospital where he died on 01.01.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia.

02. The deceased is a 91 year old female from Colombo 14. She died on 01.01.2021 while undergoing treatments at IDH hospital. The cause of death is blood poisoning and Covid pneumonia.

03. The deceased is a 65 year old male from Agalawatta. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid -19 virus at the Kalutara General Hospital and transferred to Homagama Base Hospital where he died on 31.12.2020. The cause of death is liver failure and Covid pneumonia.

04. The deceased is a 63 year old male from Darga Town. He died on admission to the Kalutara General Hospital on 29.12.2020. The cause of death is mentioned as blood poisoning and heart disease with Covid pneumonia.
