Canadian Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and for International Human Rights Deepak Obhrai undertook a fact-finding mission to Jaffna today.

Canadian Parliamentary Secretary visited Colombo to take part in the Commonwealth Heads of State meeting. Secretary today visited Jaffna today and met CM C.V.Vigneswaran and Bishop Thomas Saundranayakam.

Secretary visited Uthayan news paper office.

Obhrai also placed a wreath at Elephant pass in the memory of civilians killed during the war.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper blamed Lankan government fail to hold investigations on human rights violations and decided to boycott Commonwealth Head of States Meeting in SriLanka.
