The Leader of the Bharatiya Janatha Party for Tamil Nadu, K. Annamalai suggested the Government of Tamil Nadu to handover the proposed aid package for Sri Lanka, to the Ministry of External Affairs of India in order to ensure that the DMK Party does not use somebody’s crises to score a political point.
In a statement, the BJP President of Tamil Nadu highlighted the multiple steps taken by the Indian Government itself to assist Sri Lanka, mentioned that he hopes that the DMK President and the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M.K. Stalin would ensure smooth passage of the aid package to Sri Lanka without insisting on delivering it directly politicizing the standard protocols.
