Parliament to Suspend Utilities to Unreturned Official Residences

The decision has been made to suspend the water and electricity supply to parliamentary official residences that have not yet been handed over, without prior notice.

The Parliamentary Secretariat says that written notifications have been issued to the respective Members of Parliament.

The Secretariat further says that, as of yesterday evening, more than 70 former Members of Parliament had handed over their official residences.

About 20 former Members of Parliament have yet to return their official residences.

Among those still occupying the residences are 26 Members of Parliament who were re-elected this year.

Additionally, the Parliamentary Secretariat reveals that more than 35 new MPs have submitted applications for new official residences.
