Diplomatic sources told that the Swedish government was in the process of sending back all Tamil ‘war refugees’ to Colombo shortly.These sources also said that a decision to this effect was to be taken by the Swedish government before passing it down to the relevant security channels to make it official.They added that the Swedish government had decided to take such a decision as the situation in Sri Lanka has ‘turned for the better’ since the end of hostilities.The Swedish government, it is said, has also planned to inform the Sri Lankan ‘war refugees’ in Sweden of this decision in writing.
