FR petition taken up at court for the 4th day

The Fundamental Rights Petition filed challenging the Gazette issued by the President dissolving Parliament is being taken up before the Supreme Court for its 4th day today.

The petition will be taken up before a 7 judge bench headed by the Chief Justice.

The Supreme Court has extended the interim injunction that was issued temporarily suspending the enforcement of the gazette issued by President Maithripala Sirisena calling for the dissolution Parliament. It was extended till the 08th of December.
