Former Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena embarked on a special visit to the United States yesterday, departing from Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport.
Sirisena initially traveled to New Delhi, India, on an Indian Airlines fligh, before connecting to the U.S.
The former president served as Sri Lanka’s head of state from 2015 to 2019.
